Which would mean life was killing me, and holding a f*#@ing gun on me at the same time. So true!

Ah. Independence.

To me, I guess it means freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others (I love you, dictionary.com!). It means providing for your own needs and not having to rely on others. It also means not needing someone to complete you.
